Working lathe with foot power!
Carpentry tools have been found on quite a number of sites. There is a particularly good collection from Lagore which includes an adze, at least one possible hand-saw, a draw knife and a variety o chisels and gouges as well as several awls. There are also two very good examples of bow-saws from Garryduff and a socketed gouge with its bone handle still in place from the Clea Lakes crannog.
Demonstrated in the photo is the pole lathe.
